@solidstate: we'll come to see that the Veo generally prefer to crouch down the way Jetii does in the first chapter. Veo of both sexes have a wide hip base that makes it a comfortable way to settle. It's a much healthier way for humans to rest, as well, for that matter, though Western cultures never do it; it keeps your back straighter and cuts off the blood flow to your legs so that when you stand up the sudden rush of blood cleanses your veins and arteries. I've heard this makes things like varicose veins rare in cultures that don't rely on chairs.
